to each his own offense

Perhaps you’re familiar with the term “praying to the porcelain god.” Well, back in the ‘70’s, I recall, some guy took a hammer to Michelangelo’s Pietà because it wasn’t the real Jesus Christ (that guy, Laszlo Toth, knew this because, you see, he was Jesus Christ). Now, it seems a 77-year-old Frenchman has taken several whacks at Marcel Duchamp’s famous Dada urinal. It’s actually the second time this guy has gone after the piece. Perhaps he knows what all the news items I’ve seen about this attack fail to point out—this isn’t the real “Fountain.”
