It seems like the Treasury Secretary, after yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater, is now watching everyone stampede out (trampling many on the way), and waiting until the fire gets big enough to justify his earlier histrionics.

And, really, if you’re reading this, Mr. Paulson, you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do. . . .
